I just finished watching the this movie. I love the directing style of Wes Anderson. He also directed one of my favorite movies of all time: The Royal Tenenbaums. Does anyone else enjoy his films as much as me?

If you haven't seen this movie please check it out.

    Peace bd

i like wes anderson. he's a talented guy. i like the fact that anderson (and sofia coppola, with Lost In Translation) has managed to get great performances out of bill murray, at a time when murray's career seemed to have hit the skids. mark mothersbaugh (of devo) has also done a great job selecting & composing music for wes anderson's movies.

sometimes i think anderson's movies suffer from being too hip, too stylized, too self-conscious, a little too cute. kind of like tim burton movies. or jean-pierre jeunet (delicatessen, amelie). but the good aspects far outweigh the faults in his movies. in any case it's nice to have people like wes anderson or tim burton doing something different & interesting in hollywood. they're willing to take risks and sometimes end up with a movie that's ambitious but flawed. still better to try and fail, than to not try at all.
