You connecting via ethernet?
Have you tried typing 192.168.1.1 in your address bar in your browser?
i got a linksys broadband router B >> i connected two computers through wires and one through a wireless pci card
i cant connect my windows 98se with the wireless pci card
What is the model number? For example: WAG54G
Are you doing everything wireless?
Where is PC 1 connected to?
Where is PC 2 connected to?
What ports are you using on the back of your modem?
http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=36&prid=196 <-- pci adapter
http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=35&prid=544 <-- thats the router
The first port is connected to my main computer w/ the dsl (wire connection)
2nd port is currently connected to my widows 98se (wire connection but i want to change it to a wireless connection so i can put the computer in my basement)
then there is a wireless connection used on my windows xp computer (i was putting it on my windows xp computer to test if the card worked)

that's a router only - unless you have a modem you haven't mentioned yet
have you got the latest firmware from their site? they did have technical hiccups with older firmware with regards to wireless but it's fixed in the new firmware.
on the windows 98 pc can you connect it to the router (which i'm assuming is connected to the modem in some way) and open up your browser. type in 192.168.1.1 and it should ask you for password and username. both are set as admin by default.
see if that loads up first.
can you do this on the windows xp machine also?
oo one of my windows xp computers has the modemn (main computer w/ dsl) bytheway what interferes with a wireless connection? do other wireless devices interfere w/ it?
would rain mess up an internets connection therefore mess up a wireless connection?

When using a router there isn't a main or secondary.one of my windows xp computers has the modemn (main computer w/ dsl)
Internet>modem>router>computers.
Each computer connected to the router is treated the same.

oo realli? umm i cant connect to my router on this computer tho (using the one w/ a wireless pci) my signals worse then yesterday im guessing its the rain from outside, no clue though
figured out why the 98 wont work, gonna test it tommo, i think the signal gets intercepted by my fridge, since my router to the room is seperated by the kitchen, im going to put the computer right next to the router tommo and give it a shot
