I Had The Exatc Same Problem And The Exact Same Version Of PS2 Anyway Here's How I Fixed It
1.Turn Your PS2 Upside Down
2.Remove The Rubber/Plastic Covers That Cover The Screws
3.Unscrew Them Then Turn Your PS2 Back The Right Way
4.Gently Lift The Top Off
5.Okay Now Where The Disc Drive Is You Have To Remove The Top(You'll Need A Very Small Screwdriver)
6.Get A Cotton Bud And Soak It In Cleaning Alcohol(I Used My Mums Perfume)
7.Firmly Clean The Lense For About 1 Minute
8.Put Your PS2 Back Together And Plug It In Now Try Playing The Discs It Should Work Fine
Okay It Worked For Me I Hope It Works For You

I had the same problem all you have to do is clean the lense, with any cd disk cleaners that are out there, they are very cheap I got mine for a dollar.
