Planetside is an awesome game. Too bad my computer is too slow to handle it though. I'm going to get an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro next week so maybe that will increase performace, but as of now, it gets really low FPS in huge battles. Which makes me kind of upset because you get the most EXP from big battles. My specs are:
Dell Dimension 4400
Intel Pentium 4, 1.9 GHZ
512 DDR SDRAM (PC2700)
ATI Radeon 9200
Matrox 40 GB Hard Drive
So yeah, Planetside is an awesome game, but slow for me Good thing about is though, the ping is awesome.

Sounds like someone who has never heard of EverQuest, Asheron's Call, etc.
Yes you pay a monthly fee to play on their servers.

Defrag. Empty temp files.
How much MB on the card?

I clean my system everyday and it still lags in huge battles. I have to put EVERYTHING to LOW settings and stuff which looks kinda crappy and it still lags. Programs I use to clean:
System Mechanic 4.0b
TuneUp Utilities 2003
HiJack This
Ad-Aware 6.0 (181 build)
Spybot-Search and Destroy
I also defrag like every other day. my ATI Radeon 9200 has 128 DDR MB but it's not Directx 9.0 supported. That's why I plan on getting a 9600 Pro so that I can play Directx 9.0 games a lot faster.
