Thread: Speed Up Overnet?

    Do you know of any ways to speed up Overnet? I rarely can get downloads of over 10kb/s with a cable connection.

    Specs: (dont know if these matter much)

    Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 1 (2600.xpsp2.030422-1633)
    Processor: IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
    Memory: 1024MB RAM
    Graphics: ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128.0 MB
    Sound: SB Audigy Audio [B800]
    Hard Drive Total Space: 136.6 GB

    Yeah i don't get any speeds either 9 kb/s and im on 1 mb/s connection..

    not again:




    set your upload to 10 or 20 make sure you have the rest downlaod and connections set right.

    when you search for a file make sure you pick the one with most availablity to download.

    and last for the love of god if you are queued be patient, 90% OF THE TIME IN P2P YOUR SPEED HAS TO DO WITH # OF SOURCES AND THEIR UPLOAD SPEED(AND JUST LIKE YOU EVERY BODY'S UPLOAD SPEED IS ALOT LOWER THEN DOWNLOAD SPEED)

    share alot of files, specially porn the more uplaod you have and the more files you share the better your speed.

    remember the software it self does not realy have anything to do with speed when you are talking p2p

    or it could just be that u are behind a firewall like me i still cant figure out how to forward ports to my d link router
    i think thats what is wrong with mine when i test it, it says that i might be behind a stealth firewall which i have no idea what that means

    The only decent accelerator for P2P programs is called a T1 or T3 connection...
