Thread: Quick grammar related question

    If you want to use speech quotes and then end the sentence with a question mark, but the quotation isn't a question, how would you write it?

    For example, is this sentence correctly structured?


    -- Have you ever thought to yourself "That's a load of rubbish."? --

    Should the question mark go after the quotation marks and should there still be a full stop at the end of the quote?

    Any help would be fab!
