I have a AMD x2 4400+ dual core, and it said 2000 ghz. It is a lot faster than my family;s p4 3.0 GHz. How do you compare intel and AMD speeds?

It will be faster but there really isn't much way of comparing them based on frequency or the name anymore, you need to take a look at some benchmarks or better yet run some of your own benchmarks to compare your 2 PCs specifically.
benchmarks and theoretical side.
it's all about the registers & integrated technology.

I am just a worthless liar. I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well.
