    Hey guys,
I have an athlon 1700+ and just bought the abit nf7(no not the nf7-s) and haven't been able to overclock this chip. The problem is I had a jetway board and was able to get this baby up to like 1.65 gig, and 1.6 stable running. Everytime I try to change the fsb on with this abit board it gives me error messages, even if I tweak it up 1 mhz. Anyone got an idea why this is and more importantly what the heck I can do to overclock this stinking chip?
    Thanks.
    Today is the day.

while i doubt this is the problem, i would upgrade that ram to pc2700 or higher to allow for better overclocking of the chip, and it will also help it be more stable.

Well, your ram only goes to 266Mhz right now, which is the FSB of your CPU, so that could be making errors also, but I wouldnt think 1Mhz would do it.
