of course you need a dvd writer if you want to use a dvdr disk..if you could use dvdr disks on a normal cdrw then there would be no need for a dvdwriter to ever been invented

Paul, he said DVD-REwriter. as in dvd-rw not cd-rw.

ive got a dvd rewriter and was wondering wat is the best program to burn avi's or mpegs on to a dvd rw? i have used ulead dvd movie factory but the dvd's r a bit purple!
