Basically when I download on uTorrent 1.7.2 my connection maxes out for a few seconds, (at 2.4mB/s) then it like dies and my upload and download all go back down to 0. Then a min later it all kicks back up again. I thought this was a connection or router issue but I just tested it on azurues and It stays maxed out constant without the drop. Any suggestions?

Did you try to install a differetn version of Utorrent, like 1.6.1, and see if you have any problems?

Not yet, I am trying to keep this one right now so I can keep my upload stats if I ever need it.

I think you can downgrade without losing your stats. I've done it.

Are you downloading too fast for the hard disk to keep up, ie seeing disk overloaded in the bottom uTorrent window?

I dont think so because azureus is working fine for at 2.4mB/s on the same hard drive.

most harddrives within the past 4-5 years would and can do 2.4 mb/s without a problem whatsoever, it would be you dont have enough ram, or problems with the CPU.
