How do you download the source of a streamed file? Normally when you right click over a link you can download a file to your hard drive and then open it and it runs from you computer. With these files (the extension is real media .ram) you download the file but when run they connect to the net and load the file from there (under the title "real player presentation"). How do you locate the source file (the complete file). Ideally I'd like to link to it so someone clicking on the link can download the full file to their machine.

Heres a link to a file for an example (see "Audio of chat" near the top):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/neighbours/askactors/...henlovatt/page1
The link opens real player which then starts "buffering" and then the clip plays. Is there anyway to get a link which I can place on my page so when the end user clicks on it a download prompt appears and they can save the file from the other server to their machine? I guess I can just copy the code and paste that onto my page so real player opens when the user clicks but the file keeps on stopping on my connection as it buffers

knob jockey
try thr link barbarossa gave you and downlaod urlsnooper and streamboxvcr suite.
use urlsnooper to find the real source of the file and then download it with streamboxvcr 1.0 beta 31
that will bully the server into giving you the whole file.
