D/l Traffic While Im Not Downloading

just a quick q

when i have all my downloads paused and there are uploads running i seems to be getting download traffic about 300 kb a minute

can you tell me if this is just overhead traffic, as a result of the upload packets or is something else going on

its definatly to do with kazaa , as it doesnt happen if i close kazaa

if this is overhead traffic, does it mean that im using download at 18 meg an hour just for letting ppl upload from me, and if so maybe i shouldnt leave kazaa open all day long whilst im not here, and waste d/l
