Re my Grabbit question.

I allowed Grabbit to upgrade itself and made sure the number of connections was set to 8.

However in Grabbit you also have to go to the "batch" tab and make sure that all 8 boxes are ticked, as default it is set to 1 and 2 being ticked.

My only defence is "what's the feckin point of asking how many connections to use, then making you click another 6 boxes to actually allow it to happen".

It's a poor defence, but it's all I have.
