You're wrong. HR does mean high resolution because HR releases are not always half 1080i resolution.Originally Posted by livil

Also, it is High Resolution because the resolution is higher than standard HDTV scene releases.

tvtorrents seem to have both "standard" hdtv and "HR" encodings. Scene sites are less consistent, but I've seen them on scene sites as well. (RevTT, SCC, etc)
