    @Manker - excellent thanks (except for the rupees bit ) been looking for what the "true " prices of these bloody mortal adapters are.

    @Grip - i will definetly search the city for second hand versions - but those pc shops...if they have a second handone will definetly try to make you bleed for it - so i will probably have to do some sneaky sidemanouver technique - tell them i need something else etc
    inside a laptop is a tight as a....

    @manker - on my adapter it says 20V and 4.7A
    will a 20V and 3.5A work?

    whats the most important the Volt or the Ampers? eg 19V + 4.5A would be better than 20V + 3.5A???

    a side panels usually off or the whole thing is usually in pieces, dust never has enough time to settle
