Yeah, it's called the pools over here. In the EPL close season, the people who play it use Aussie soccer instead. Obviously, it's all luck - as you and others mentioned in this thread.

It is really difficult to predict the outcomes of even a small number of matches. Doing a sweepstake of guess the last scorer while watching the game in the pub is the limit of my footie betting
