my mom just got an Acer laptop (that she, of course, called me to configure)
and it's freakin HOT on the bottom

the notebook cooler makes it feel less hot =) it seems to do well to cool the stuff like keypad the case etc. so you dont feel like your typing on a stove but it has no effect on the hardware, my cpu is running at 50C =/ hard drive 32-36C

that's mostly what I was curious about
I laid that damned thing on a binder I keep old floppies in,
and I think I need to check to see if it didn't warp em all

theres a gateway notebook out there with a AMD64 4000+ i would get that over this laptop anyday.
