    Nah, those are posh, ghey names, I don't have one of those

    The one I'm using is more the equivalent of "smith" or somesuch, not literally, but when it comes to how anonymous it is.

    Legally I have a right to a more flash name, from my mother's side of the family. But that's a soldier's name, and still not like that nobleman's crap.

    So is maelstrom (malström)*, and a bunch of other words.

    There's been some transfers over the years. Germanic roots, and all that.


    Did you know "window" comes from the icelandic "vindöye" (not too sure about the spelling ) literally meaning "wind-eye", I think.



    *Actually, the interweb claims it entered english through dutch, but I wonder about that.
