while playing "this" divx 5.2.1 mkv video file and enabling divx 5 via ffdshow i get a green line thru my video. video plays fine and everything, but this green line that goes thru the video. when i disable divx 5 via ffdshow the green line goes away. i've noticed that divx 5 has been disabled in ffdshow now by default. is this the reason? this green line isn't thru any of my other divx 5 videos but this one. codec conflict? old divx 5 codec conflict with newer ver? vice versa?

It could be a codec conflict but to be sure have you installed a pack if yes which and ya the decoder is the orignal one or remade by ligoes, etc...

It's not a codec conlict, since no unwanted codecs/filters are used.

ffdshow just somehow isn't capable of perfectly decoding that particular file.

In order to fix something they must know there is a bug. You can report ffdshow bugs here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/
Upload that file and include it in your bug report. Without it they can't reproduce the problem.
