    Since your dealing with very low voltage coming out of the computer to your headphones (instead of the other way around), any damage would be to the phones and not the computer. To prove it put the phones on your ears and do it again. The loud click you hear is the spark vibrating the headphone cones.

    OMGWTFBBQ I just saw a spark when i touched the black wire to white wire in my electrical panel.
    Did I fry my flash light?
