Why not? how's it not proper? To each his own, I suppose.

Because melodic death metal, by definition (of culture), is something not to be meddled with during funerals....hence the word death metal.

And I said "to each his own" in my last post

I chose last post due to military significance.

Jeff Loomis: He's so good, he doesn't need to be dead to have a tribute.

Of course there is the classic "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zep.

And our favoruite "Why Does It Always Rain On Me" by Travis. This was used on a TV Show funeral scene in "William And Mary" it was a very moving scene.

I think that Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust would be mine

In all seriousness though I think that I’d like the third movement in Beethoven’s 9th symphony.

'Memory of a Good Friend' by Chris Rea

Any good haunting song with lots of pan flute. ;-)

"Chop Suey" (System of a down)
I really like this song and although I didn't exactly understand the meaning of the lyrics, it's talking about suicide and death.

    Fraggle rock theme tune.

And everyone must join in and clap along.
The idiosyncratic syntax of riddles interests me
