the Amd Athlon 1000MHz cpu only has a 200MHz fsb, as does this duron, so in this case there isn't a difference in the fsb.
I happen to have a AMD 1 Ghz Athlon cpu in this system which has a 266 Mhz fsb.

yep, you're right
it seems that athlon 1000MHz cpu's can come in both 200 and 266MHz fsb's :">

The origenal athlons came in 4 fruity flavours. 700 750 800 and 900mhz
Then came the model 4 athlon the 1st athlon thunderbird the 1000mhz (1.0 - 1.2ghz) chip with the 200mhz fsb, then we have the model 5 t-bird (1.0 - 1.4ghz)
correct me if im wrong.
thing is i have the 1.0ghz chip 200fsb, i used wcpuid to check stuf and it says i have the model 4 chip but it dont say if its a thunderbird or not.

@amphoteric88
that is also true - a thouroughbred core is also good, but the difference you mention with the 2700+ is mainly due to the clock speed.
if you had a thouroughbred and a barton at 2700+, i'm pretty sure that the barton chip would come out faster.
@xanex
yeah u got a thunderbird chip
