    It is actually 3 r 1 but divide the r1 by the original 2 = 1/2.

    Biggles, you are correct. So am I, but I am a big fan of integers

    I do alot of DIV and MOD calculations on integers.

    7 DIV 2 = 3
    7 MOD 2 = 1

    7 DIV 3 = 2
    7 MOD 3 = 1

    Anyhow, I learnt long division in about grade three.

    things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
    the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
    and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
    the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
    and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
    the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

    We didn't have "grades" when I learnt long division cos counting came later.
