PeerGuardian2 is faster and easier. Still it sometimes blocks and slowdown the computer shutdown.

I'm using pg2 it does slow down your pc a bit never used protowall so cant comment on it

I use PeerGuardian2 becuase it uses less cpu. Supposedly they help protect you from RIAA attacks although the software has other funtions like spyware protection. Don't run both at the sametime. Both of these apps provide more peace of mind than actual protection imo.

Go with protowall with block list manager , peer guardian i found it unreliable .

reviving this thread
basically, my dell is being stupid and won't make a bluetooth driver for my laptop (xps m1330) for 32bit xp. so i have to go back to vista
currently, PG2 supports vista, kinda. there's a alpha build that seems to work.
Protowall barely has enough $ to pay for hosting, let alone the manpower to support vista.
which is better now? PG2 has come a long way, and it's supposed to be really good now
