Well, if we're making a competition of this :p Then I would say it's a hymn that comes from what I am told is the 8th century: Be Thou My Vision. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the date, but I know for a fact that it's before 1000AD.
More contemporary, I'm going with some jazz: Fats Waller, or perhaps Scott Joplin is even earlier. I love ragtime; you can't be sad when you listen to some good ol ragtime!

ok I recently got Elvis Presley #1 Hits cd so now I'd say "Hound Dog" is the oldest song I like. It's from the 1950's. lol
