hi there !
i've been using broadband cable for the last eight months, and my ip address has always been the same up until the last five or six days. since then it has changed on a daily basis. is this normal for broadband cable ? or is my isp doing a bit of a check on me ?
regards

In the UK it's normal for NTL and Telewest.
Don't know about anyone else.
Don't worry about it, from a security point of view it's a good thing. It's always harder to hit a moving target.

maybe they have changed their policy from giving everyone static ip's.
might be a good thing because having a static one can be a problem anyway.
