Any time I try to play live streaming video or audio i.e MLB.TV or any website the uses windows media I get no sound.
I am sure that my sound card drivers are up to date. If I back up to Windows Media player 9 it plays extremely fast.
    Any Ideas?

Does this happen only with streaming video? In other words, can you play content that's saved on your computer?

Also, do you have a codec pack installed?

    it only happens with streaming
and im not sure what codecs I need
I have codecs for xvid and stuff like that
    for encoding and watching movies

Everything is fine now, operantly there was a registry problem with the K-lite codec pack I reinstalled and everything is fine.
