    I think it'll be around for a good long while yet. I think it will be 'The' file sharing route for another 5 years or so before something better comes along, that will replace the most used way.

    I think BT will change in 2-3 years because the RIAA.

    Be realistic its really too much it lasted from 2001 til now
    I think more probably there'll be another invention
    But if this wasnt true then the goverment would do smthing to stop it

    BT will always be around but in 5 years it will probaly die down due to the fact that there will be a better p2p program

    Finally found it again. I read an article a few months ago which talks about the a new protocol that sounds promissing. I could,'t find the exact article, but this one will do.

    Yeah but even if that works, it will most likely be implemented into bittorrent. And not become its own protocol. Bittorrents extremely affective. I can see more security features, and other features to help improve publice use. But I dont see it going any where any time soon.

    I hope your right, and you probably are.

    I can see bittorrent going through a series of upgrades and evolving over the years.

    After all, I was always a believer in phylogenetic gradualism and thought punctuated equilibrium was bull s**t.
