cut the messenger folder somewherre else (outdise the programs folder) and paste it. thats should work.

Boot to safe mode and del the folded. Windows WILL replace it on reboot, but with no contents. Same with stupid ass movie maker and all those.

Have you just checked the startup folder and see if MSN in there, if so just delete it.
Even if its unchecked in msconfig, if its in the startup folder it will start at start up
