what speed do you burn movies at?

dvd is 16x. I ran out of the TDK & imation disks I was using and have 2 spindles (one fujifilm and the other memorex) and both will only burn at 4x. I updated the firmware and everything.

I guess it's really important the brand name. Anyone else have similar issues?

dvd files to dvdr = 8-16x
dvd image to dvdr = 6-8x

i don't burn it as movies .
i use the data mode on dvds it's mush faster and safer ,
ps: i don't know how to burn dvds , or at least didn't try it yet
