Cd Writer

on my desktop i have a cd writer, the pc is kinda crap so it doesnt write as fast as it can as the comp doesnt keep buffer full. so i was wondering if there is like a bay thing i can use so i can turn it into an external usb writer? so i can use it on my laptop?

theres plenty out there Livy.Im looking at one now to convert my DVD R/W.THIS is the one Im getting but there are loads on google,just type in "EXTERNAL ENCLOSURE".

thanks, i was looking for some and they were coming up at like £60. which is a bit more than i wanted to pay, might just leave till ma dad gets back and see what he says about the computer a posted in my other topic.
