"
A recently leaked email shows that the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) - the anti-piracy organization that represents the recording industry worldwide - has plans to request confidential information from an ongoing police investigation of The Pirate Bay.

The leaked email was sent to the IFPI by Peter Danowsky, a Swedish lawyer who works for the anti-piracy organization in question. At the moment it’s still not clear whether they actually made this request or not.

In the email we read that the IFPI plans to use the information to backup some of their claims against The Pirate Bay. However, if the prosecutor decides to share this sensitive information it might also compromise the entire case."
