All this bullcrap, and they think they losing money c'mon,
some people never bought a dvd in their entire life how can they make loosing money
to FNAC or these Films and Music Producers...
I just think they should encourage P2P networks and sharing...
Lots of people only download TV series and so on... What is wrong with that ?
Anyway im prolly sure they made this warning just to show that they are watching them...

I believe it's just a scare tactic and yes I'm sure a few people will loose their internet, but I believe someone will find another way around it. encryption would be a good start but I don't think it solves the problem. But I like what snoopdo2g said about how they should just encourage people to use P2P. If there smart enough they will find a way to get some money out of it.

proxy wont help with anything, the isp is packet sniffing ur traffic:

forced encryption and a good private site, is enough. Don't c how will they prove that u downloaded besides that.

I hear all this stuff about encryption and privacy and proxy servers. Can you actually hide what you are doing from your isp, if the stuff is ultimately going through their server.

Surely the ISPs can see that their users are downloading large files !

If a user just did his email and a bit of web surfing and forum watching you would not need a very big cap if at all.

So the ISP's would be doing them selves out of A LOT of business !
