How Do I Openb A 700 Mb .exe File?

Hi,
don't know if this is the right section for my question, but here goes:
I downloaded splinter cell, it's a 700 MB .exe file. If I try to open it, it won't work because it's to big for the memory. I have Win XP, and I tried to open the file in WINRAR/Stuffit, but it isn't a valid archive. Can anybody help me out? Thanks.

Never mind, I'll try some other splinter cell downloads first.

it probably needs renamed to a .bin or .iso file - check the file name again, does it say '.bin.exe' ? - games are renamed like this to make searching easier - .bin's dont show up on a software search
