Now for an even better question. You say you owe money, but if it wasn't for downloading it, how much would you have bought of that stuff. I think in my case it would be 0,01%... maybe.

I am in school and work on the side. After paying for food, housing and other necessities I have pretty much about 0$ left each month + I owe money to the bank. So that RIAA calculator isn't that good. It said I owed +$50.000

Satellite how is that working for you?
Does it go out on you every once and a while and you have to get it redone to receive the channels again. I was thinking of getting one like that but wondered how often it happened

Seen as were basing this on the non pirated industrys prices and also considering some of the warez need repacks, propers or even real propers, Compensation for such things id say im owed about £10000

now substract the costs of your internet connection, power supply, hardware (especially harddrives, cdrs and dvdrs) and the time spent on the internet trying to dig that all up. including all the never used shit, fake downloads and baaaad quality. and then look what u were able to keep and what did not vanish over the years.

its the fun u cant compare to anything u can buy with money i think.

If I had paid for everything I would have bought, then it would have cost me something like 100€.
To answer the thread starter's question, maybe around 30000€

Lostdemon Only time problems happen with the sat is when the codes change every day or every week but new codes are often put up in a matter of minutes. Stuff that works regularly such as german premier, upc hungary have an auto updater key so no problems at all there. Or problem may occur when the encryption is changed on the package prodviders end then you lose everything but this does not happen often because it costs the provider millions to send out new cards and get the appopriate space needed, good example of this would be nagra1 nagra 2, and now romors of nagra 3 for spain tv and portuagal tv cabo and tequalia it was hacked for a good amount of time then they moved to nagra 2 and it was cracked in a matter of months and worked for a good year or so. once one things goes it is often then replaced by something else so there is always something to watch in english. 1000s of channels i love it best bit of equipment i have brought since my cable black box theres ups and downs but always somethng to amuse the family
