    I just cared for a recent stroke victim a week ago and I never realized how debilitating it can be until me and another student had to do all the patient's self-care activities.

    Such sad experiences. My condolences to those who suffered with their loved ones. What makes a stroke is so awful as it strips the victim of so much of themselves that in hindsight one wishes that they didn't have to linger the way they did. I for one am thankful to have this info now.
