STFU manker
Depends, there are many types of lies.
-The lie of survival (or else your as gets kicked)
-The lie of innocence (The cookie is gone)
-The Lie to save lives (no i did not fuck her)
-The lie political (simply misdirection)
-The feel good lie - (your gorgeous now lets fuck)
_The uber lie - all those lies your parents did to you.
Now go away.
And to add to the list, I believe that when someone says something to me that is completely bonkers/stupid/wrong/idiotic etc etc and I in turn say nothing to correct or put aside, this could conceivably be considered a lie on my part.
Reason being is that my experience has shown that often times a person will interpret silence as acquiescence to their position; but when in fact I do disagree, my silence is a form of untruthfulness as I've passively led the other to believe that what they said is acceptable.
Convoluted logic in some regards to the purist philosophers out there, but makes brilliant sense to me in a practical way as it speaks to telling lies in both active and passive manners. //
