Magic can be defined as the art of trickery, more often called illusion. In it's current form, magic is a source of entertainment and disbelief for the general population. A magician is no more than an actor on a stage, and it takes a certain type of person to give a convincing performance. You could have the best and most unique tricks in the book, but without the flair and an outgoing personality, they're worth nothing. The art of illusion takes a lifetime to master, and to become a half-way decent magician, you need to spend a good deal of time memorizing and practicing the tricks. If you feel that you have better things to do (work, school, women, etc), then they should take priority in your life. I have spent the last couple months of my life practicing and honing my skills as a magician, but only AoM has what I need to turn these tricks into something worth people's time. Trust me, if you want the account to get used on a daily basis, look no further.

I'll leave you guys with a quote from one of my favorite movies, The Prestige:

You never understood, why we did this. The audience knows the truth: the world is simple. It's miserable, solid all the way through. But if you could fool them, even for a second, then you can make them wonder, and then you... then you got to see something really special... you really don't know?... it was... it was the look on their faces...

Oh, and by the way, you didn't waste 6 months of your life learning magic. Believe it or not, the skills you learned will be with you for the rest of your life. You can't believe how many times I've done something, then asked myself if I could've done that without studying illusions as long as I have. But, as I said before, you need to get your priorities straight. If you are doubting that magic should take a priority in your life, it's probably time for you to move on. Learn a new skill, or spend more time with the family. I always trust my gut feeling, if I feel that I'm not interested in something, or it's getting in the way of my priorities, I drop it. I might come back to it in the future, but I always make sure that everything else is taken care of.

you "wasted" 6 months of your time in magic stuff, if i were you that feeling would already convince me to move on.

Unless and until you don't feel that you have had enough of magic, you won't move on no matter what people may say. Think about the pros and cons of what you are doing and what you have done and decide upto yourself

I wouldn't say you wasted 6 months of your life doing magic. Magic is kind of like a hobby and should be enjoyed. Maybe magic was your favorite hobby back then, but now you have found something better to do. But you have to realize what is important in life. If you decide that you need to move on with your life, it isn't really a bad decision.
