Sample 5 is Michel Pagliaro, a French Canadian artist. Quite Beatle(ish) sounding at times. Very well known in french Canada, recognised in the rest, but most don't know who does the tunes.
It is hard to get most of his works.
Sample 6 is the Tragically Hip from the Road Apples album.
The clip is from 06 Long Time Running.
A bit of a Rolling stones flavour I think.
