Gold24 if you are going to be downloading a lot torrents concurrently getting the most memory that you can comfortably afford is a good idea.
Linux Debian is the preferred OS for servers but it really depends on what you are comfortable using.
its ok i decided to go with the seedbox and not the dedicated server brought it right now hope it dosent take too long to get it up and started at least they install everything and i just have to party with my ratio now
I ordered the seed1 package two days ago, haven't got it yet. I am still waiting (impatiently).
I also added an extra 250 GB SATA2 hard drive, though. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Yes, I do need that much space. Downloading packs of several hundred gigabytes each require some hard drive space.
I hope you didn't get windows, I made that mistake and have to reboot my server once a day to keep my upload high. Also make sure you got a true 2ghz server, they gave me a 1.2ghz I didn't notice until I had the server full.
With HD Video torrents you need alot of space. ~4.6gb per 720p or ~8gb per 1080p fills up fast.
