The best plaer for functions has to be the Bsplayer. I use this skin which is the most popular downloaded skin for the Bsplayer.

On the toolbar you have buttons for aspect ratio, pan scan, hide and also real smart toolbar comes up when in full screen when you hover your cursor at bottom of screen allowing you to pan scan, change aspect ratio all in full screen. Also find it a much better player for Xvid.

I use jetAudio because it seems to work on most of the video formats.

The only think I don't like about it is that it opens the movie in a separate window. Other than that its great.
