Port 80 is a bad idea
just set it to any port > 2000 and you should be fine, most windows applications all use ports under that.
I usually pick ports that are easy to remember like 2003 2004 6969 7777 etc. havn't had those taken yet
If you're really worried about getting caught you need a good firewall on your comp that catches port scans and messes with them, otherwise all your isp or sysadmin has to do is portscan your comp to see which ones are open.
don't use port 80 is a bad idea like every body else says
Change your port to the most common port used, port 80 (HTTP).
Why in the Would you wanna use port 80 retard!!!! Then you may as well just call the Riaa and confess cause youll get caught 80 times fasτer §§
This is a misconception -- how fast you DOWNLOAD and UPLOAD from individual sources, whether you are firewalled, and how likely you are to be caught by RIAA are often completely unrelated to each other.Originally posted by wenze1@27 December 2003 - 04:51

A NATed 10 Mbps business line is fast indeed, but will ALWAYS show up as firewalled to Kazaa/Kazaa Lite unless you can port-forward the 1 ip port that KL++ is set to use. Whether that gets 'found' by RIAA depends alot on whether you're blocking 'hostile' ips (RIAA/MPAA/BSA/spammers/hackers/viruses/etc) and blocking listing of all your files. It also depends on whether RIAA is scanning that branch of the fasttrack network while you're on KL++.
Everytime i unblock port 80 my intrusion alert goes off constantly so i don't use it.
Yep, LOTS of trojans and viruses are trying to invade computers accross the internet via port 80.Originally posted by wenze1@28 December 2003 - 21:59

Just about any 'popular' ip port has this problem.
If it's an 'open door', they want IN!
