its becasue all the different channels in sound and les hummm you get with 192 also 192 is pretty much CD quality and then bass ripps in more but playing 128 compared to 192 on a shit pair of speakers makes no differnece there was a time when I used kazaa I went with 128 becaue I thoght it was standard then went to soulseek i I would never be able to get used to going back to 12k again! but ill still get 128s if I have no choise.
god damn thats a long sentence.

anyway you get a larger/wider frequency range the higher the bitrate. this means that more detail like lower bass and higher treble are added.

all stereo mp3 files only have 2 channels left and right.

the 44 khz part is the refresh rate of the song.

its best to use an analergy to describe this. pal uses 24 frames per second with video and ntsc uses 30 frames. it is sometimes possible to see that a video is made up of still images with pal if there is lots of action on the screen. but ntsc does not have this problem because it refreshes too quickly for the human eye to detect.

so the higher the refresh the better right. well there is a limit that the human ear can detect so about 44 khz or the dvd standard of 48 khz are about the limit we need.

hmm really should have found an article and copied and pasted it but hey i need to practice my typing. B)
