i'm the one that said sales say who's better. and it does. well in some albums britney has sold more than limpbizkit, but thats a different story anyway. you can't compare a pop album to a rock album. i'm comparing rock to rock. sales does matter because sales are saying that more people like this certain album enought to buy it more than the other. sales is the factual way to tell whether a band is better than another band. you can tell me that iron maiden or a different band is better than limpbizkit or anyone else but opinions aren't what matter facts are what matter. iron maiden has never had an album sell over a million copies in one week and iron maiden didn't sell more than limp this time either. iron maiden debuted at #18 and limp will probably debut in the top 3. 3rd position is predicted from first day sales. i would say beatles are the greatest band of all time simply because they have the highest selling album of all time.... and i dont even like the beatles.Originally posted by ezyryder@28 September 2003 - 02:56
I've heard the album now, due to this post. I've got to say, I didn't like it one bit. Mainly because it's not my style but I would say it's an improvement. I wouldn't say it was bad, but I just can't get over fred dursts voice. It doesn't agree with me.
someone said something against iron maiden, saying record sales show this is better? That is nonsense, Britney Spears sells more than Limp Bizkit, so in that theory... would you say she was better? I wouldn't have thought so. In todays society, sales mean not the quality but it's appeal to the 7-16 year olds (which apparnatly make up most of record sales of the top ten).
Just because something sells, it doesn't mean it's good. However, don't get me wrong, im not saying this album is bad just not my style at all.
