SpywareBlaster will prevent a lot of these unwanted installs.

Does not use any resources as you only run it once and it protects you after that.

Only update the spyware definitions once in a while and rerun the program.

Really a terriffic tool. Freeware. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Not only that, some sites can be tricky and install something without You knowledge (This depends on Your internet securtity level ofcourse).

Just use Spybot & Ad-Aware. If you know where the installers are coming from, put em in your hosts file
or block the domains altogether.
