Is there an actual system for determining the version # of software?

    Btw, since Win7 I've been using Shark's Win7 codecs with the x64 bit components...Will K-lite be Win7 compatible?

Whatta 'bout QT Lite? It'd be awesome if it did.

It's more just personal opinions. But most experienced developers don't just bump a version number unless there's some sort of major changes, usually visual changes if they apply.

But it's still an update. They can't update the packages and release it under the same version number?

Maybe they should of labeled it 4.9.6, but don't the version numbers increase by 0.0.5?

IMO there should be no version numbers.
    There should just be dates.
But if they want a version number it can be for version of their system of installing/removing of the codecs. Each small update they make should just be the same version number with a new date at the end.

Oh well who cares they can do what they want. I was just wondering if there was something major in this new version that's all.
