techically couldn't we say that mettalica are the one who haev copyright to mp3s becasue they were abel to sue nabster over it?? that means its only ilegal to dwonlaod metalica becaseu they hold the copyright to mp3s

I don't know about all that but if u were in court with the RIAA:
They would say, yes Gre1 is accused of sharing copyrighted music. Then I could say I had no music on my comp only software programs that I downloaded and they were corrupt so I just never used them, they were just there. Then u have a very good arugument. But that would never happen because if the RIAA was to scan your comp to see if u are sharing the copyrighted songs they would find nothing.

Exactly. That is why I am going to start renaming all the files I have and post hashes for them (New files that is)
