My mums laptop is using XP home edition with ie 6 and the address bar of ie and explorer windows will not show up. It is selected but it has no effect . Any ideas?

unlock the toolbar and dragg it downwards

you could try dragging the toolbars around it may have been shrank right down to nothing...

Try using a different browser for the time being until you get that situated.

The function of showing address bar is not included in xp home edition, I mean its disabled. Though it shows it can enable it but actually it doesn't. And this is only while exploring windows. So your IE must work well coz that one and IE are not related...
