Here's the deal, I have a wireless laptop and I connect to the internet via a cable modem with optonline.net as my isp. I Also have a netgear wireless router. The ip of my router and laptop are 192.168.x.x . What can I do ?
ur routers LAN IP is 192.x.x.x - but it has an external IP as well.

drop 2 a dos prompt and type - winipcfg /all - check ur default gateway -that's ur actual ip

if u'll notice, the dynamic ip's change bout once a year - so it's basically a static.
