Maybe we should make a list of all the NIS downloads we have tried so far. The fake ones. That way we could avoid wasting time.
hehe, we posted at the same time...pretty rare
i think there are already such forums around.

The keygen I used said it worked also...but the program itself did not work.
I version I speak of I got from SuprNova...
Norton Corporate is a antivirus proggie. It uses very few resources to run and does not need a serial number. It does have fewer options then NAV 2004 however.

That appears to be what I installed. At least, the symptoms of the errors are the same.

Ok, maybe we could simplify this thread. If you are talking about AntiVirus 2004 or the Corporate version please don't. This thread is about Norton Internet Security 2004. There are plenty of other threads about the other stuff.
Now, Mavol, I have encountered the same problem as you. I have a version of Internet Security 2004 that installs fine with serial included. But after restart the icons in the taskbar are there but they don't work when clicked on. Also the icons disappear after about 5 minutes. Very strange.
The one I found was: Norton.Internet.Security.2004.iso with a filesize of 230,722 KB
so cant help you on filesize and name
@Mavol. You have the file don't you? How can you have the file and not be able the tell us what it's name is or it's filesize?

Yes, 225MB or 236,259,328 bytes in file properties.
But if you look at the filesize when viewed 'details' it shows as: 230,722 KB.
I did a test setup on another blank harddisk with a fresh install of Windows XP w/SP1. About 2 days ago.
